Specifications HyMPulse Measurement Probes (HMP)

The HyMPulse measurement unit is delivered with a cabinet including a field coil, a heating unit and a signal processing unit.
The maximum magnetizing field is limited by the field coil and the magnetizer.
The field coil contains a HMP-insert that can be exchanged to optimize the measurement volume range.
Metis provides a wide range of HMP-inserts with various diameters. Typical HMP-inserts are HMP50 and the HMP20, other ranges are available on request. A HMP-insert consists of a sensor-set and corresponding sampleholder.


Specifications HMP50:
  • Measurement of hysteresis curves of different magnet geometries with 1 measurement coil: segments, cylinders, bars, rings,...with unidirectional magnetization or known opening angle (patent pending)
  • Maximum diagonal of the magnet: 50 mm
  • Maximum width of the magnet: 40 mm
  • Maximal height of the magnet: 15 mm
  • Recommended minimal volume of the magnet: 500 mm3


Specifications HMP20:
  • Measurement of hysteresis curves of different magnet geometries with 1 measurement coil: segments, cylinders, bars, rings,...with unidirectional magnetization or known opening angle (patent pending)
  • Maximum diagonal of the magnet: 20 mm
  • Maximum width of the magnet: 10 mm
  • Maximal height of the magnet: 5 mm
  • Recommended minimal volume of the magnet: 73 mm3


Accuracy

Metis guarantees measurement accuracies for minimal volumes specified for every HMP-insert in different temperature ranges. Accuracy Specifications can be downloaded from the download section.


Calibration

For every combination of HMP-insert and external field, a specific energy of the CDM-M magnetizer is necessary.
